This is a common pro-life argument and is effective and emotional because it suggests that a fetus has done nothing wrong to lose it’s right to life. But fails to state it’s central assumption:
- That a fetus already have the absolute right to life to lose.
But if a fetus doesn’t already have the absolute right to life, as gradualism suggests, then it’s innocence isn’t even a relevant argument because it never had the right to lose.
